Day Program

Positive Mental Health Inc. is a non profit organization located in Twin Falls, Idaho. Our purpose is to provide a day program for an under served population in our community. Positive Mental Health is a place of hope, companionship and social interaction. It offers a safe, caring environment where friendships are made and nurtured, where a sense of family and unity abound and personal strengths are emphasized. Most importantly, it is a place of belonging!

Our day program is designed for persons diagnosed with chronic and persistent mental illness. It assists our participants in developing routines, reducing isolation and building peer relationships.

The program is available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and offers healthy meals. It provides a variety of groups throughout the day, covering topics such as exercise, daily living skills, skill building, symptom management, social skills and appropriate interaction with others, just to mention a few.

We celebrate holidays and birthdays, share in successes and offer help through upsets. Through daily interaction, participants develop lasting relationships with others and a strong sense of belonging.

Membership is open to anyone who has a history of mental illness. We provide a community intentionally organized to support individuals living with the effects of mental illness. Through participation people are given the opportunities to rejoin the worlds of friendships, family, spirituality, important work, employment, education, and to access the services and supports they may individually need. We provide an environment for people who have had their lives drastically disrupted, and need the support of others who believe that recovery from mental illness is possible for all. Most importantly a community of people who are working together toward a common goal.
